When did the rape or sexual assault happen?

The most important thing after an assault is that you are safe. If you think you or someone you know is in any danger at all, it is very important that you call the police if it is safe to use your phone. They will make sure that you are safe from harm. Call 999 straight away if you think you are in any danger (for textphone, dial 18000) and ask for the police. If you have been injured, tell the police when you speak to them and they will make sure you get the treatment you need.

We offer help and support to children and young people who have been sexually assaulted or raped, however long ago it happened. We have a team of experts who are ready to help you and provide the care and support that is right for you.

So we can give you the correct help and support you need, it would be useful to know when the incident or incidents of sexual abuse occurred. The way we will look after the person you are concerned about may be slightly different if the incident was in the last 10 days or longer ago.
